Office Assistant
Join the Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District (THPRD) team as an Office Assistant and demonstrate your excellent customer service skills! We're currently looking for dedicated and self-motivated individuals who are committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences across our THPRD facilities.

As an Office Assistant, you'll play a key role as the main point of contact for patrons, affiliates, and partners, fostering a welcoming and inclusive community environment. You'll also offer essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of THPRD facilities, enhancing overall community experiences through exceptional customer service.

Tualatin Hills Parks & Recreation District offers free drop-in access to all THPRD recreation facilities for employees and their household. Bilingual staff who regularly utilize their language skills are also eligible for a 3% pay incentive!

Responsibilities
Main responsibilities include:

  • Greeting the public in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring positive experiences both in-person and over the phone. You will provide helpful information and assistance regarding schedules, program descriptions, and general district information.
  • Answering telephone calls and efficiently directing them to the appropriate personnel, while accurately taking messages when needed.
  • Providing general clerical support, which may involve data entry, preparing and proofreading various forms, letters, flyers, and promotional materials.
  • Assisting in program enrollment, registration procedures, payment processing, and generating prescribed reports as necessary.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates will possess:
  • Knowledge and experience in office management principles, which you can effectively apply to work-related problem-solving.
  • A strong commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all patrons and stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of relevant software and computer operations, particularly Office 365 platforms such as Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • The ability to learn and utilize proprietary patron registration software.

Scheduling
Shifts are adjusted to meet the specific needs of each district location and fall within the following operating hours:

  • Monday - Friday: 5:15 AM - 10:15 PM
  • Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Additional Information
THPRD is hiring for multiple positions to support various facilities, offering part-time roles with flexible working hours (less than 1,560 hours per year).
