Senior Staff Accountant
LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a Senior Staff Accountant for a client in Northern Kentucky. This position will be a 1 3-month contract role to cover a leave. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of accounting experience along with intermediate to advanced Excel skills. This position is 100% onsite in Covington, KY. Pay for this role will range between $28 and $40/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare month-end close workpapers/schedules in support of the accurate and timely delivery of the financial results for internal and external reporting requirements for multiple entities.
- Responsible for reporting daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting requirements, including but not limited to journal entries, reconciliations, analysis of activities and variance analysis.
- Will perform elimination and consolidation reporting procedures.
- Assist in completing and updating cash forecast information on a routine basis.
- Work hand in hand with the business unit leaders to support them with reporting and analysis.
- Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
- Assists with annual audits and tax requirements including workpapers, reconciliations and gathering supporting documentation.
- Represent the Company in a professional manner, maintaining a professional and courteous attitude when dealing with coworkers and the public.
- Must be dynamic to deal with a variety of people with varying degrees of accounting knowledge to convey accounting information and concepts.
- Work on special projects that will surface from time to time.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of general accounting experience
- Intermediate to advanced Excel experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Bachelor s degree in accounting or finance
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work 100% onsite in northern Kentucky.
