Duration: Volunteer and Paid internships available in 80, 160, 320, and 600-hour commitments


Description:

SR1 (Scientific Research) is seeking passionate interns to join our C.O.O.L. (Community Oriented Opportunities for Learning) Zone Fellowship Program. This unique opportunity is designed for students and recent graduates who wish to contribute to societal development in Health, Education, and Technology. We aim to foster equity and enhance community economic mobility through innovative projects and collaborative efforts. Roles Available:

Education Specialists: Teachers and educators across various subjects including but not limited to STEM, Social Studies, and Language Arts.

Urban Planners: Candidates who can contribute to sustainable community development and effective use of urban space.

Computer Scientists & Data Analysts: Individuals with skills in software development, data processing, and analysis.

Agriculture Experts: Students or graduates from agricultural science or related fields to work on sustainability and food security projects.

Multicultural and Linguistic Educators: Professionals to address educational needs in diverse cultural and linguistic contexts.

Policy Writers: Individuals interested in developing and advocating policies that promote community wellness and equitable access to resources.

Early Learning Specialists: Professionals focused on developing educational content and strategies for early childhood development.

General Community Promoters: Roles for those with a broad set of skills aimed at enhancing overall community well-being and engagement.


Responsibilities:

Collaborate in interdisciplinary teams to design and implement projects aimed at improving community health, educational outcomes, and technological accessibility.

Engage with local communities to assess needs and develop tailored solutions that promote equity.

Participate in workshops, training, and seminars to enhance professional development and project outcomes.

Document and analyze project data, prepare reports, and present findings to stakeholders.

Commit to the full duration of the chosen volunteer internship tier (80, 160, 320, or 600 hours).


Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited university program relevant to the internship role.

Strong passion for community service and development in health, education, or technology.

Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively in diverse teams and manage projects.

For data-focused roles: Proficiency in statistical software or relevant programming languages is preferred.

Paid internships are preferably awarded to those currently enrolled in school, based on their level of expertise and academic progress.
