This Springfield company has been in business for nearly 40 years. They are planning for significant growth over the next 5 years and are adding a lead Accountant to their team.

The Accountant will oversee all aspects of the company s accounting and finance operations. Expect to play a significant role in integrating new acquisitions into the finance and accounting structure.

Some of the duties of the Accountant will include:

• Produce complete and accurate monthly financial statements and related financial reporting.
• Build out a month-end checklist and fully own the month-end close process.
• Complete all monthly, quarterly, and year-end close entries, schedules and financial reports.
• Analyze financial reports for management and key decision makers.
• Lead the organization through implementing the remaining modules of its ERP system.
• Coordinate with CFO to prepare cash flow forecasting.

Skills for success:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related degree with 4 + years of professional experience in the accounting field (public accounting experience preferred.)
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Additional certification (CPA and/or CMA) preferred, but not required.
• Experience in ERPs and QuickBooks highly preferred.
