Advertised Position Title Applicant Pool for Adjunct Faculty, Skilled Trades (Findlay) 2021-2023 Job Description Summary Instructors will be responsible for: teaching classes; creating and maintaining assignments, evaluative measures and records; communicating effectively with students and the Chair of the Skilled Trades program; engaging in other department-related activities; and supporting the mission, vision and core values of the college. Knowledge Working knowledge of trade being taught. Application of software or hardware appropriate to topic matter. Skills Basic Computing, Verbal speaking, organizational, and perception of student understanding are all skills required for this position. Abilities The following abilities are required for this position: work independently, convey required subject material, quickly return graded materials, ascend or descend to proper level of instruction for each section of students, and compose proper syllabi based on given syllabi shell for each section. Campus Location Findlay Position Qualifications Up to one year of specialized or technical training beyond high school Certified Journeyman if no degree available. 10+ years experience in related field. No experience required for higher level of degrees. Electrical, Industrial Mechanical, HVAC , Building Maintenance, Plumbing/Pipefitting, Machining, Toll and Die. State certified Journeyman or Department of Labor Preferred Qualifications Associate Degree or two-year technical certificate Journeyperson or 10+ related experience in trade. On Call Requirements No Minimum Expectations Depends on position location as to whether travel is involved or not. *
