POSITION SUMMARY

Plan, organize, and direct a program of activities which provides opportunity for entertainment exercise, relaxation, and expression and fulfills basic psychological, social, and spiritual needs which will be available to all residents of the facility.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Qualifications including minimum skills, experience and education required include:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Two (2) years' experience in a social or recreation program preferably in a long-term care setting within the last five- (5) years.
  • One (1) year as a full-time activities coordinator in a resident activities program or equivalent
  • Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents and employees.
  • Basic understanding of computer technology, including email use.
  • Must maintain regular attendance.
  • Must meet all local health regulations, pass post-offer drug test, and pass post-employment physical exam if required.
  • Must be capable of performing the Essential Job Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
