Job Details
The Hydrogen Operations Manager will have specific expertise in Hydrogen production and serve as the Energy practice s subject matter expert. The ideal candidate will have experience on projects in Hydrogen and other Industrial Gas, Chemical Hydrogen Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas, or Power sectors with strong process mechanical and instrumentation & controls expertise
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent field
Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Relevant experience in Hydrogen production experience and expertise
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to work across the hydrogen value chain, be a fast learner, curious, and a team player
- Support and perform process design and detailed engineering, process design calculations, process optimization, sizing and selection of equipment, costing, plant layout
- Ability to support safety, risk studies and other key analysis such as HAZOP, HAZID, QRA, SIL, and so forth
- Support range of services: master-planning, strategy, advisory, scoping, concept development and screening, basic and detailed design, feasibility studies, FEED, EPC and Owners Engineering services
- Ability to interact with clients, vendors, OEMs, and other stakeholders
- Provide mentorship for the other engineers in the technical team
- Coordination with the design team to direct completion of engineering drawings
- Multi-discipline collaboration on the development of PFD s, P&ID s, and data sheets, etc.
- Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts, and presents complex technical solutions to clients
- Troubleshoot and recommend value engineering/cost-effective solutions to problems, including those that arise during design and construction phases
- Generate internal and external technical presentations
- Travel to project site and meetings as needed
