Job Details

POSITION PURPOSE:
Assist with routine and special cleaning needs of the Hotel in a timely and efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Promote excellent guest/associate rapport by completing all requests promptly, efficiently, and courteously.
2. Clean all assigned areas in accordance with the established standards of cleanliness.
3. Answer communication devices promptly.
4. Acknowledge and turn in daily task assignment sheet upon completion.
5. Assist with all general cleaning and rehabilitation projects as directed.
6. Maintain all floor/carpet/doormat care needs within the hotel.
7. Report all repair needs to Housekeeping Management.
8. Perform spotting or shampooing of carpets as requested.
9. Maintain all public areas as assigned.
10. Ensure all supplies are in place.
11. Maintain all equipment in safe, clean condition.
12. Take responsibility for all chemicals and equipment assigned.
13. Participate in the promotion of safety and security in assigned work areas.
14. Support work efforts of other Housekeeping associates as directed.
15. Complete all assigned projects in a timely manner.
16. Follow appropriate standards of conduct, hygiene, uniforms and appearance.
17. Follow all Marcus Hotels and Resorts policies and procedures, OSHA standards and procedures, Marriott Standards, and key control procedures.
18. Must be able to represent the company in a professional, well-groomed and courteous manner.
19. Make recommendations to supervisor regarding improved methods and procedures in order to have a positive impact on guest/associate satisfaction.
20. Maintain condition and cleanliness of work area.
21. Attend all scheduled mandatory Housekeeping Department meetings, trainings and hotel meetings.
22. Perform all other related duties and special projects as requested and/or assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be detail-oriented.
2. Ability to use all cleaning equipment and chemicals.
3. Must be able to represent the company in a professional, well-groomed and courteous manner.
4. Physical stamina to complete repetitive manual labor tasks.
5. Must be able to use all body limbs to 100% capacity.
6. Must be willing and able to smile.
7. Must be able to lift, push, pull and or carry up to 50 lbs.
8. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, grasp, stretch, and use a vacuum and push a cart on a regular and extended basis.

9. Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure.
10. Basic English communication skills preferred.
