Flexjet, the second-largest private aviation company, is currently seeking qualified candidates to join our Human Resources Department as a Payroll Specialist. This position supports the processing of payroll files and earning statements for ten of our sister companies; as well as providing support to all employees in regard to their payroll records administration. This position reports directly to the Director of Compensation and works closely with our Benefits team.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure payroll processing is completed in a timely manner consistent with company deadlines
Assist with processing & submission of semi-monthly payroll information to payroll software provider (UKG) for US and Canada entities
Assist employees with questions regarding their payroll and resolve any issues that may arise
Coordinate and perform activities to update employee s records within the HR department
Perform various HR and payroll reporting, garnishment processing and employment verification as required
Perform daily and weekly audits of payroll, timecard entry activity, and employment changes
Assist with completion of month end, quarter end and year end reconciliation of payroll tax records
Assist in the coordination and completion of internal and external audits of the Company
Support the Payroll Manager and Director of Compensation by completing special assignments and other miscellaneous duties assigned through department needs
Resolves conflicts with UKG for the purpose of verifying or correcting possible paycheck or payroll tax issues
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business or similar discipline; 1-3 years' experience in HR related field with specific responsibility for payroll processing; a combination of education and experience
Working knowledge of payroll concepts, practices, and procedures along with HR laws and regulations
Experience with UKG, ADP, or comparable HRIS system
Able to independently use MS Office products and other technology packages
Previous Accounting and Payroll Tax experience a plus
