RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Assistant Plant Manager must supervise exempt and non-exempt staff including conducting performance evaluations and improvement plans, approving paid time-off (PTO), assigning or delegating work, providing on-the-job training, giving guidance to staff, taking disciplinary action, and interviewing candidates for open positions.
- Must directly supervise work crews processing materials in a safe and productive manner.
- Must assign operating equipment and personnel for efficient material flow in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- The Assistant Plant Manager must coordinate and check work for quality assurance and ensure deadlines are met.
- Maintain time and production records.
- Must participate and contribute towards all environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The Assistant Plant Manager must hold an associate degree. Bachelor s Degree preferred.
- Must have minimum 5years of experience in raw materials manufacturing industry in a plant set up. Pressure treated wood products manufacturing is a plus.
- Must have 2 years of supervisory experience.
- The Assistant Plant Manager must be flexible in shifts as needed.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
