How You Will Make an Impact
- Manages inbound and outbound shipping loads in a safe, cost effective, and efficient manner.
- Keeps accurate documentation of inventory transactions to ensure all industry and regulatory standards are met.
- Responsible for supervision, leadership, and safety of shipping/receiving team members.
- Ensure the sanitation, housekeeping and overall cleanliness of the warehouse and related areas of the facility are in compliance with quality standards.
- Analyzes labor efficiencies and labor allocations to meet demand; schedules vacations/time off; manages overtime hours; manages time keeping system.
- Develops and motivates direct reports to improve the efficiency of their current duties and have clearly identified goals.
- Regularly communicates via department meetings to keep team members informed; encourages team member feedback/ideas.
- Addresses team member issues and delivers corrective action to include behavior, safety, quality, GMP, sanitation, work standards and time infractions. Partner with HR department for direction and guidance as necessary.
- Conducts new team member orientation and training.
- Maintains current thorough knowledge of the plant and its processes, and seeks continuous improvement of processes and work conditions.
- Must participate as an active team player and motivated individual.
- Performs other duties as required.
What You Will Bring
- Minimum 3 years supervisory/inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment; preferable in a food manufacturing facility.
- Strong analytical, written/verbal communications, interpersonal skills and the ability to work well across all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in Warehouse/Inventory control systems, Microsoft Office applications; especially Excel
- Knowledge of time and attendance systems
- Familiarity with Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing techniques
- Experience implementing SQF programs preferred
- Bachelor degree strongly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
