Department/Office: Regional Economic Development Center (REDC)
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour, 0 - 20 hours per week depending on department need, availability of funds and student eligibility.
This position will gain marketable work experience by working with Yavapai College staff, Faculty and affiliates in a group
effort to support the mission, goals and values of Yavapai College.
The Regional Economic Development Center (REDC) at Yavapai College is seeking one student worker to help with special projects and programs supporting local Yavapai County businesses and workforce. The successful candidates will support the REDC efforts to enhance business and workforce development, connect talent to employment, and promote regional collaboration.
Responsibilities include assisting REDC staff with the following:
Marketing outreach through social media - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter.
Creation of marketing collateral such as announcements, flyers, brochures, etc.
Assists with information and database management.
Assist with workforce initiatives related to career engagement.
Daily responsibilities may vary depending on the individual's background and length of employment period.
Works collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organizational goals.
Minimum Expectations & Requirements

Must be currently enrolled in at least 6 credits hours at Yavapai College
All hiring documents must be completed prior to first work shift, including acceptable documentation for the I-9 Form
Time management skills and a good work ethic, e.g. showing up on time.
Appropriately dressed for workplace standards
Ability and willingness to follow verbal and/or written directives.
Enthusiasm and interest in learning and practicing entry-level, industry-specific skills.
Graphic Design (Illustrator, Paint, Photoshop, Canva)
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Familiar with Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
Preferred Skills & Abilities
- Fully bilingual in reading, writing and speaking Spanish and English
