PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The primary function of a Dedicated Customer Service Rep is to manage ongoing relationships with customers within a designated area by accepting freight, resolving issues, and maintaining customer requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain relationships with Dedicated customers
- Ensure driver and company productivity goals are being met
- Review a list of incoming trucks while speaking directly with customers to take load information and book freight on all available trucks
- Ability to maintain assigned territory of customers
- Maintain and log pre-booked freight that cannot be immediately assigned
- Contact new and existing customers to solicit additional freight, as necessary to load trucks within the designated area
- Research and resolve customer inquiries and problem
- Effectively communicate with customers, sales, fleet managers, and other internal personnel
- Participate in total quality management and process improvement teams
- Utilize web-based technology to gather and track operation data
- Enter customer data and shipping instructions into a computer database
