The Adjunct will oversee the development and maintenance of 1-2 courses in his/her respective content areas (retirement, philanthropy, tax, leadership, and/or estate planning).

The Adjunct is a subject matter expert in his/her respective areas of education/professional preparation. This position will require the developing of academic courses, the teaching of assigned courses, and ensuring delivery of the highest quality professional and advanced education programs and services to the Colleges students. The American College is a leader in financial planning education and the applicant will have a strong interest in maintaining the quality and relevance of our remotely delivered courses.

Responsibility for graduate courses may include the development of the online course, including creating internal content and/or sourcing of external content, assessment and review questions, and creation of all supplemental course materials. The Adjunct will also work with the Instructional Design team to develop online content for his/her courses.

The adjunct will be evaluated on the quality of their instruction, content development, and student experience. College faculty are encouraged to engage with the advising profession through applied research and presentations that support the educational mission of the institution.

TEACH AND MAINTAIN ASSIGNED COURSES

*Key/Representative Activities:*

* An adjunct faculty may be assigned teaching responsibilities for 1-2 courses simultaneously in the MSFS curriculum

* An adjunct may also:

+ Identifying external course materials or creating internal course materials as appropriate;

+ Research subject matter for the assigned course(s);

+ Develop supplemental instructional materials and update previously prepared material to reflect and incorporate latest developments, theories, and concepts in the subject area in **1-2 courses** per year.

+ Teach in the MSFS program as needed but not to exceed **8 courses** per year.

+ Provide subject matter expertise in other designation programs as needed.

* Actively participate in continuing education seminars and programs in related subject areas.
