**Team Leader Shift Assembly**

**Location:** MOSEL, WI

**Opportunity**

Responsible to support, direct and train production work teams in the assembly areas to achieve established goals for safety, quality, delivery and cost.

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**

Responsible for the supervision of final assembly work team(s) including, but not limited to establishing daily work activities, monitoring performance, providing feedback, facilitating on-the-job training, collaborating with other functional areas (i.e. engineering, quality, purchasing, Sales) and reinforcing the Kohler core competencies among all team members.

Accountable for the overall safety of work team(s). Thoroughly understand the proper usage of equipment within the work teams, and assist /coordinate accident analysis and safety audits.

Understand the basic principles of OSHA and EPA regulations, as well as Kohler Co. safety policies and procedures.

Coordinate the overall quality of the work team and demonstrate an understanding of quality standards. Lead production work teams to effectively monitor and track quality of product, track and maintain records surrounding quality audit results.

Identify problems pertaining to process. Make suggestions for improvement and participate in resolution of those problems. Support the use of continuous improvement tools (kaizen events, 5S audits, etc.) by the work teams.

Understand the labor contract as well as enforce policies affecting personnel administration.

Prepare reports, work on special projects and perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

**Skills/Requirements**

Associates degree or technical diploma preferred and five years minimum experience.

Able to communicate effectively, both written and oral; leadership ability.
