About the client and role

Our client is a tier 1 manufacturing company that is looking for a Vice President of Human Resources who is responsible for developing and executing a human resources strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation.


Responsibilities (listed if required)

  • Collaborates with executive leadership to define the organization s long-term vision, mission, and goals; identifies ways to support the vision and mission through strategic HR priorities.
  • Establishes and implements HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the company's mission and strategic vision.
  • Identifies key performance indicators for the organization s human resource function; assesses the organization s success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.
  • Develop HR strategies and tactics to support the achievement of the overall business operations objectives.
  • Functions as a strategic business advisor to the executive/senior management of the organization and each region/plant regarding key organizational and management issues.
  • Works with the company's executive management team to establish a sound plan of management succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of the company.
  • Develops comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs based on the strategic goals of the organization.
  • Develops and implements comprehensive, competitive, cost-effective compensation and benefits plans.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, compensation, and benefits globally.
  • Participates in the recruiting, interviewing, and selection of senior-level leadership for the organization overall and management-level HR staff.
  • Provides guidance and leadership to the human resource management team; assists with resolution of human resource, compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, and issues.
  • Oversees development and publication of company policies, ensuring compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
  • Drafts and implements the corporate human resource budget.

  • Sought after for understanding of HR trends, as well as industry insight and perspective.
  • Strong track record of organization and team development including succession planning, developing future leaders and top grading.
  • Positively drives team engagement, collaboration and teamwork.
  • Ability to lead virtually and influence cross-functionally.
