Job description: *Loan Operations Group Manager (Bank/Financial Services only)*
*Responsibilities:*
* Advances change-the-bank projects, resolves escalated issues and/or offers solutions at an advanced level.
* Serves as analytical and/or procedural subject matter expert representing loan documentation and loan servicing on cross functional processes or project deliverables.
* Delivers in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions, and streamline processes, in order to increase productivity and efficiencies with cost-saving opportunities.
* Establish collaborative working relationships with other peer, leadership officers
* Ensure operational procedures are efficient, risk adjusted and aligned with customer delivery expectations
* Develop service level agreements (SLAs) with/for key stakeholders
* Support organic and acquisition growth opportunities
* Manage (directly or indirectly) key operating policies and non-governance documents such as the Overdraft Policy, Electronic Service Policy, Identity Theft/Red Flags Policy, IT Policy, Disaster Recovery Plan and Pandemic Plan
* Prepare an annual budget for personnel and fixed assets (including bankwide technology requests)
* Monitor controls to ensure customer and Bank information is accurate and insulated from fraud, theft and intrusion
* Ensure operational policies and procedures comply with banking regulations and applicable state/federal laws
* Closely follows trends in loan documentation and servicing and adapts them for application within the client bank.
* Activities will include the division independently processing and closing loans within a complex loans operation environment
* Responsible for management of a complex / critical / large professional disciplinary area within loan documentation and servicing.
* Acts as a strategic partner with other businesses and strives to facilitate their success.
* Supports a wide range of internal clients (product, sales, client delivery, and technology) and external corporate clients.
* Engaged in short to medium-term planning of actions and resources, and exercises control over resources, budget, policy formulation and planning.
* Uses comprehensive understanding of concepts and procedures within loan documentation/servicing and sound knowledge of other areas (cash management / treasury etc.), to resolve issues that have impact beyond this leaders immediate area of impact
* Manages complex and highly variable issues associated with loan documentation/servicing with significant potential impact across multiple operations areas, weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially differing needs.
* Analyze the end-to-end process and leverage existing or available system communications to reduce manual touchpoints.
* Identify gaps in training, procedures, or processing and drive potential solutions and suggests technology enhancements to reduce manual work.
* Assist with org chart planning (to ensure SMEs are assigned & aligned).
* Liaises with various stakeholders on ever changing matters.
* Builds effective relationships with clients; facilitates, influences and enables change.
* Implements and manages a successful risk/control environment related to loan documentation and servicing processes.
* Keeps abreast of banks operational processes and best practices in business strategy.
* Acts as an advisor to provide guidance and coaching to direct manager reports, as well as new or junior level staff
* Has direct responsibility for developing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships (internal and external).

*Qualifications:*
* 10+ years of Credit and/or Loan Operations experience required
* Deposit Operations experience desired
* Demonstrated effectiveness in people management in particular engaging and developing the team
* A leader who is able to multi-task and manage through complexity effectively in a dynamic environment
* Established successful track record as manager of managers, as well as manager of individual contributors
* Proven experience in driving organizational change and operational reengineering
* Demonstrated experience in driving client service delivery successes with global corporate clients
* Successful executive with track record of decreasing operational risk and increasing processing efficiency
* Experience in leading teams at different office locations and geographies

* Bachelors/University degree

This role is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas and will lead a team of professionals. The right resource requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. The role requires an in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions coupled with strong commercial awareness. This Manager is responsible for ensuring adherence to a clear set of service level agreements including management of volumes, and quality, accuracy, completeness and timeliness of loans servicing. The right resources will be involved in the planning, budgeting and policy formulation for the function, as well as resource planning. Oversight and comprehensive management responsibility for the team including hiring and performance management. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level, as well as some external communication may be necessary. The scope includes accountability for delivery quality results, exercising control over the function and processes, policy formulation and planning. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, and budget approval.
