Who we are:

Leland House is a 45-day crisis stabilization and residential treatment program for youth who've experienced a severe behavioral or emotional challenge that's interfering with daily living.

What we do:

We empower youth to overcome challenges through:

  • Individual, group, and family therapy
  • Medication management and weekly psychiatry sessions
  • Psycho-education and independent living groups; recreational and pet therapy
  • Social-skill development through experiential and project-based learning
  • Individualized academic instruction on SOL curriculum and IEP goals (led by onsite Fairfax County school teachers)

Who We Serve

We serve males, females, and gender-diverse youth ages 12-17 (at admission) who are demonstrating unsafe behaviors that require a crisis-stabilization placement. All youth must be a resident of Fairfax County, Fairfax City, or the City of Falls Church.
  • Trauma histories
  • Mood and anxiety disorders
  • Emotional, social, and behavioral challenges
  • Minimum IQ of 68 (with exceptions)

What we are looking for:

A Direct Support Supervisor to provide shift oversight and supervision to assigned Youth Counselors. Assist in the day-to-day operations and management of the physical environment and therapeutic life through provision of ongoing monitoring of housing needs as well as program (documentation, training, practice skills) needs for maximizing quality care to kids and families. The Youth Counselor Supervisor will share in the on-call duties of the on-call clinicians and leadership at Leland House.

What you will need:

Master's degree plus 2 years' related experience required and six-month supervisor experience. Bachelor's degree in related field and a minimum of 5 years' related experience with six-month supervisory experience may substitute for Master's degree. Associate's Degree in related field and a minimum of 10 years' related experience with six-months supervisory experience may substitute for Master's degree. Must be proficient in use of personal computer and Microsoft Office products. Must be able to effectively use agency technology and software programs in required functional areas.
