CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT - COMMERCIAL DESIGN/BUILD PROJECTS - GROUND-UP, BUILD-OUT AND REMODEL

Specific areas of responsibility include:

  • Participate in all project team meetings
  • Follow and maintain the superintendents Project Checklist
  • Develop and maintain a team relationship with subcontractors and vendors
  • Organize project site logistics
  • Monitoring of project general conditions
  • Organize and manage site construction activities to meet or exceed project completion schedules as set forth in Owner/SLI Agreement
  • Coordinate all state and local municipality inspections
  • Coordinate all MEP, Structural and Civil inspections
  • Quality control and assurance for work incorporated into the projects
  • Compliance with Local, State and Federal Codes relating to the work
  • Maintain project photos for the project
  • Assist Construction Manager with approval of project invoices
  • Establish and maintain positive communications with Clients
  • Establish and maintain positive communications with other members of the project team
  • Prepare daily construction reports
  • Perform daily and weekly safety inspections and prepare reports
  • Perform SWPPP inspections and prepare reports
  • Update and maintain the project MSDS binder
  • Assemble and maintain as-built drawings for the project
  • Hold weekly safety meetings
  • Review subcontractor insurance/ purchase order logs
  • Assist with review of subcontractor/vendor change pricing
  • Prepare four week look ahead schedules and update weekly
  • Adhere to and enforce SLI policy by not permitting subcontractors to be on site without signed agreements or proof of insurance
  • Enforcement of terms, conditions and scope of work for subcontractors and vendors
  • Adhere to and enforce SLI Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Adhere to SLI Project Administration Policies and Procedures

Normal work hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. As workloads fluctuate so do the time requirements of each of our staff members. You are responsible for setting the work hours on your jobsite and you will be expected to be on site as long as subcontractors are present. It may become necessary to travel from time to time.
