**IT Support Specialist Intern**
Office SHERIDAN, Wyoming Minimum Experience **Entry-level** Compensation **$15 hourly** Description of Internship Learning Opportunities: Like most small businesses, Wyoming Roofing relies on technology to enable us to maximize our productiveness. The intern will help to provide technical support and assist with the management of our hardware and software. Learning opportunities will include: * Exposure to a variety of devices: desktop PCs, laptops, iPads, iPhones, servers and peripherals using MS Windows, Google Chrome and Apple platforms.
* Familiarity with various business and contractor cloud-based software applications
* Troubleshoot user issues as they arise and escalate to our 3rd party technology partner, PDS, when necessary
* Participation in the Wyoming CyberSecurity Competition
* Research and purchase of new systems and equipment as needed
* Employee trainings on cybersecurity awareness
* Company technology policies
* Equipment inventory
* Prepare devices for new hires and remove user privileges post-termination
* Decommission obsolete devices and dispose of safely
* Awareness of current security issues/alerts and ensure that WR devices and software are compliant with all updates
* Must be at least 18 years of age and legally able to sign a confidentiality agreement
* Must have a valid driver license with a clean driving record and insurable on the companys auto insurance policy
* Good phone communication skills are required as this position will interact extensively with other employees and with our third party IT support partner
* Some experience with MS Office and/or Google Enterprise and with cloud based software programs is preferred
* Some specialized IT technical training is preferred
Internship Dates: May 1, 2022 to April 30, 2023
Total hours of internship: 1040
Work Hours: flexible but generally 20 hours per week, must be during business hours which are Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Locations: Primary - Sheridan, some travel to Gillette when necessary

* In order to be eligible for the grant, the intern is required to complete an Intern Attestation form. This form must be completed and turned in on the first day of the internship.
* The Intern will turn in a time sheet documenting his/her hours on the Friday after the pay period ends. The HR department will maintain a record of the hours to ensure that the hours worked do not exceed the number of hours approved for the grant.
* A pre-, mid- and post-internship evaluation will be conducted with the intern and submitted to Wyoming Workforce to document the internship progress and results.
