**Pay and Benefits** : $27.00 p/hr plus Health & Welfare Benefit, Clothing Allowance, Medical Insurance immediately available or H&W $4.22 paid in cash; Sick Leave accrues at 1 hour for each 30 hours worked; Vacation 1 week after each 6 months of service ; holiday pay
Qualifications and Requirements:
* 1 year general work experience (Security, Service Industry/Child Care a plus)
* Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
* High School Diploma or GED
* Must be computer literate (working knowledge of MS Office products).
* Must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule
* Must be able to climb stairs, walk, stand for prolonged periods.
* Valid State Drivers License
* Clean criminal background
* Cleared Tuberculosis test results (company paid)
* Cleared drug test results (company paid)
* Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
* Biweekly rotating 12 hours shifts, 3 days on 4 days off / 4 days on 3 days off
* Night and Day Shifts available
**Job Description**
The Childrens Shelter Security Officer may daily perform a variety of tasks within the facility including:
* Preparation of childrens and staff ID cards/Bracelets
* Overseeing recreational activities (field sports such as soccer, flag football, volleyball)
* Acting as a childrens chaperone, providing physical escorts and directions to children as they move about the shelter premises
* Receiving/inventorying/issuing supplies
* Receiving/receipting/returning childrens personal property
* Transporting/Escorting children to local (San Antonio) medical appointments via company van
* Some work is outside and some is inside depending on daily assignment; multiple work activities may be assigned throughout the work day
* Monitoring surveillance systems
* Responding to and de-escalating disturbances
* Report writing as necessary
