Job brief
Sevier Coffee is a modern coffee house and breakfast place fueling guests before their adventurous day. We are located 25 minutes to Bryce Canyon and 50 minutes to Zion National Park. This season position will continue through October. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Bryce and Zion with access to nearby hiking and trails.
We are looking for a Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea.
Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge of how brewing equipment operates. You should also be able to work various shifts. Note: this positions compensation includes hourly pay of $12 per hours and tips (typically: $60-$100 per person per shift).
Ultimately, youll ensure an excellent drinking experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
* Greet customers as they enter
* Give customers drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients
* Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
* Prepare beverages following recipes
* Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
* Keep the bar area clean
* Maintain stock of clean mugs, equipment and plates
* Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
* Comply with health and safety regulations
* Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items
* Prepare food and baked goods including burritos, sandwiches and more
HOUSING:
Onsite housing is available for $200 per month (all inclusive). Upon completing the season we will reimburse all housing in the form of a bonus. Contact us for more information.

Requirements
Previous work experience as a Barista or Server/Bartender
Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
Knowledge of sanitation procedures
Ability to handle a large volume of customers
Excellent communication skills with customers and staff to ensure smooth operations
High school diploma; relevant training is a plus
