Position Overview: Our client is seeking a motivated and skilled Litigation Associate with 2 to 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in insurance defense and employment litigation, demonstrating a keen understanding of litigation processes, client management, and strategic case development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of litigation from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and preparing for trial.
- Manage a caseload of insurance defense and employment litigation matters, ensuring timely and effective case progression.
- Conduct legal research and draft memos, briefs, and motions to support litigation strategies.
- Attend and represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide comprehensive legal solutions to clients.
- Maintain client communications, providing updates and legal guidance as needed.
- Participate in settlement negotiations and draft settlement agreements.
- Ensure compliance with all court deadlines and procedural requirements.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar in which the position is located.
- 2 to 5 years of litigation experience with a focus on insurance defense and employment litigation (preferred).
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
