Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at our facility located in Melrose Park, IL, 60160. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC Lathes and mill machines, including both 2-4 axis and 5+ axis models. Your expertise in G-Code programming, machine setups for production runs, and troubleshooting CNC machines will be essential in ensuring the efficient and accurate production of parts.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain CNC machines, including both 2-4 axis and 5+ axis models.
- Program and edit G-Code to control machine operations.
- Perform machine setups for production runs, ensuring proper tooling, fixtures, and materials are in place.
- Operate CNC lathes and mills with G-code programming.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machines to minimize downtime.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety guidelines and protocols.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes.
- Document production data, including machine settings, tooling changes, and production counts.
Qualifications- A minimum of 5+ years of experience operating CNC machines
- Proficient in G-Code programming and editing.
- Strong knowledge of machine setups for production runs
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machines.
- Familiarity with machine brands such as Kia, Mazak, Haas, Okuma, and Doosan
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy materials.
