SUMMARY

Primary focus will be accounts payable. Other responsibilities will include assisting accounting team in all areas of accounting including billing, accounts receivable and month-end closing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Code and Process bills timely across all locations

Assist controllers in maintaining workflow in SAP

Review vendor statements regularly

Reconcile P L accounts

Resolve vendor payment issues

Work cross-functionally with local and remote team members across the organization

Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Additional duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Finance or Accounting Degree

Strong organizational and communication skills

Proven ability to solve accounting problems, balance bank statements, and reconcile general ledger accounts.

Demonstrates the ability to work independently with little supervision and also be a team player.

Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:

Two+ years general office experience

PC competency (including MS Word and MS Excel)

Experience in SAP

Strong math background

Drive to excel and expand current skill set

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Demonstrates the ability to read and interpret financial statements, financial reports, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Is able to write routine reports and correspondence and conduct themselves in a professional manner. Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers of the company. Works cross-functionally with members on the accounting team.

REASONING ABILITY

Is able to solve practical problems and deal with multiple variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Computer literate (MS Office including Word and Excel as well as accounting software)

Proficient knowledge and application of accounting principles

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, volume, and net present value.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Employee is regularly required to walk, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
