This is an Exempt Full Time position

**Job Description:**
This team oriented role performs merchandising and logistics functions for ADMs Cottonseed Processing facility in Memphis, TN. Daily activities include negotiating trades of cottonseed and cottonseed products utilizing truck and rail freight. It includes a heavy emphasis price discovery and customer satisfaction while marketing and transporting cottonseed meal and hulls across the United States.
We seek a motivated individual who thrives in fast-paced surroundings. Our employees possess strong analytical and communication skills and adaptability to changing market conditions. The office environment can be, at times, hectic as market information is shared verbally among the traders.
Traders must balance risk management, customer relations, transportation and logistics. This makes the job exciting and challenging.
Additionally, it is expected to cross train and coordinate market activities with the Grain Origination and Trading colleagues who are co-located in the same downtown Memphis office.
**Requirements:**
B.A. or B.S. degree
Experience in elevator management, commodity trading and/or commodity logistics a plus
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel
Ability to work successfully in a fast paced environment
Ability to prioritize tasks
Proven record of building customer relationships
Ability to work in a collaborative office environment
Ability to hear and speak clearly; read, comprehend and communicate, orally and in writing
Position requires standing, filing, bending, kneeling, keyboarding operations, sitting for extended periods of time and working on the telephone
Some travel is required
Individual must be committed to corporate ethics policies & safety programs.
