Located downstairs at Waikiki Market, our new local-style restaurant and bar will be a welcoming place to enjoy familiar comfort food, drinks and good times with friends.
We are looking for *Servers *to join our Piko Kitchen + Bar team!
As the primary point of contact for guest interactions in the dining room, the Server is responsible for selling & serving food & beverages using their knowledge, hospitality and service skills. Must be pleasant, conscientious and professional with excellent knowledge of food & alcoholic beverage selections. Required to execute the Sequence of Service consistently and comply with safety standards. Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly and ensure smooth service operations and quality service.
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
* Execute Server Sequence of Service consistently
* Help patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu, offering cocktails, suggesting courses, explaining the chef's specialties, identifying appropriate wines, answering food preparation questions.
* Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.
* Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices, identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests.
* Serve orders by picking up and delivering guest orders from bar and kitchen, deliver accompaniments and condiments.
* Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs, observing dining process.
*Qualifications:*
* High school education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Previous restaurant serving experience preferred.
* Knowledge of service procedures and extensive food and beverage knowledge.
* Excellent oral communication skills required.
* Positive interpersonal skills required
* Cleanliness, organization and the ability to work well in a team situation are crucial to this position.
* Must possess a recent TB Clearance.
