Summer 2024 Hardware Technician - Pro Audio

Overview:

The Hardware Technician intern will partner with fellow interns and the broader Hardware Engineering team at QSC. The role emphasizes hands-on electrical engineering, validation testing, and the troubleshooting or debugging of professional audio products and will be based in our Costa Mesa, CA. corporate office.

Throughout the course of the QSC 2024 Summer Internship Program (10 weeks beginning June 24 and ending August 30) interns will work on-site, occasionally virtually if the opportunity arises, and have regular events, weekly lunch and learn sessions and receive training customized by our business units. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into the technical side of QSC. The interns will understand first-hand what a career with QSC is like and will have the opportunity to build a cross-functional professional network.

The estimated range for this role is $23-$25 per hour.

The above reflects the pay range that QSC reasonably expects to pay for this role. This pay range also depends on various factors such as job duties and requirements, relevant experience and skills and geographic location.

Responsibilities:
  • Learning to use essential engineering tools
  • Conducting validation testing on new or existing products
  • PCBA component-level modifications based on design updates
  • Debugging digital circuits


Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science or a related field
  • Data capture and analysis
  • Experience with software coding preferred (.net, C/C++ or similar)
  • Interest in the Professional Audio industry
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn
