We are seeking an experienced systems engineer to join our Roanoke team. The systems administrator will manage and administrate the network infrastructure, Microsoft servers, and Microsoft 365. Have a strong understanding of hardware and software to provide technical support, and execute projects that include firewalls, wireless access points, MDM, and a security stack of software to name a few.

Accountabilities:

Provide support via telephone and email to diagnose and resolve problems while providing end-user assistance and resolution to issues.

Provide support, troubleshoot, and maintain Office 365 environments.

Escalate help-desk requests as necessary following established procedures.

Create and maintain documentation according to departmental procedures.

Troubleshoot and resolve routine network issues, PC/laptop, switches/hubs, routers, connectivity, and computer peripheral devices.

Plan and implement deployment schedules for applications, patches, and service packs.

Deployment of infrastructure improvements

Skills and Qualifications:

Broad base of technical skills to diagnose and solve complex problems relating to hardware and software issues.

Minimum of five years of progressive work experience in a technical support role.

Hands-on experience and knowledge to administer Microsoft Server and Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.

Administrator experience with Email Spam Filtering Solutions and Firewalls.

Hands-on experience working with Mobile Device Management (MDM).

Effective interpersonal skills with all levels of staff, clients, vendors, and consultants.

Strong communication skills (both oral and written) and demonstrated ability to work as a team player.

Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple tasks at the same time.

Strong computer, server, and networking skills.

Knowledge of working with open-ticket systems.

Administrator proficiency in Windows Server Operating Systems and Microsoft 365.

Must have a background in and knowledge of cybersecurity.

Five plus years of experience and associate or bachelor s Degree in IT or related field.

Must be able to travel up to 25%.
