Summary

The Talent Development Manager reports to the Director of Talent Development and is responsible for developing our workforce to ensure they have the tools necessary to succeed. This position will collaborate with department heads, subject matter experts, and external training providers to identify training needs, design engaging training programs, and assess training effectiveness. Additionally, the Talent Development Manager will partner with other HR members to provide guidance and support on training initiatives that foster a culture of continuous enhancement and professional development.

Job Description

  • Collaborate with department heads and subject matter experts to identify training needs specific to Athens Services.
  • Design, develop, and implement training programs aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Create training materials, including presentations, manuals, and multimedia visual aids tailored to Athens Services' operational context.
  • Conduct regular needs assessments to identify gaps in skills and knowledge relevant to Athens Services.
  • Collaborate with management to address performance issues and recommend suitable training interventions.
  • Coordinate training schedules and logistics, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of programs.
  • Collaborate with external training providers, if necessary, to supplement internal training resources.
  • Conduct engaging employee training sessions, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and skill development.
  • Utilize various training methodologies, such as workshops, on-the-job training, and e-learning, to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Develop and implement mechanisms for assessing the impact of training at Athens Services.
  • Provide constructive feedback to employees and management on training outcomes and areas for improvement.
  • Guide organizational leaders on the training and development processes.
  • Delegate tasks and projects effectively to ensure the timely completion of training initiatives.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations to foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in training and development.
  • Continuously update and enhance training programs to align with Athens Services' evolving organizational needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and results within Athens Services.
  • Generate reports on training metrics and effectiveness for review by Athens Services' management.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education in human resources or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional certifications in learning and development and/or human resources are preferred.
  • Five years of experience in learning and development, talent, and/or organizational development.
  • Supervisory training experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of best practices in talent development and performance management.
  • Experience in instructional design, learning interventions, and training delivery.
  • Track record of designing and implementing effective learning programs and interventions.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to address stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in mentoring teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends and travel locally as needed to support the business.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role with or without accommodations.
  • Seeing, hearing, and smelling continuously.
  • Sitting, standing, and walking frequently.
  • Handling (holding), balancing, bending, crouching, kneeling, pushing, & reaching occasionally.
  • Exposure to dust, smoke, fumes, odors, noise, grease, oil, hot/cold temperatures, and vibration frequently.
  • Exposure to electrical hazards, chemicals, standing on concrete, and uneven or slippery surfaces occasionally.
  • Works primarily in an office but may need to work outdoors on occasion.
  • Travel to multiple site locations may be required.


Salary $100,000 - $145,000
