PotCo Farms in Pueblo is looking for cultivation employees for the upcoming grow season. The position is full time, day shifts, (typically 38-40 hours per week) beginning May, 2024.
Starting Wage: $18
Job Description: The Cultivation Technician is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day facility operations, maintenance, production events and upkeep of the cultivation facilities.
Primary work duties include:
- General Plant Care
- Pruning
- Trellising
- Raised Bed maintenance
- Harvesting
- Cleaning Work Areas
- Monitoring of facility systems and communicating with the Supervisors and Managers about issues that arise
- Maintaining the highest standard of cultivation work within production events
- Adhering to SOPs
- Adhering to all training and farm polices
- Assisting Supervisors and Managers in duties assigned
- Ensuring compliance to Federal, State and company regulations, policies and procedures within the job junction.

- Able to obtain state credentials to work in cannabis cultivation facility
- Valid driver's license and Reliable transportation

- Must be able to obtain all State & Local requirements prior to employment
- Prior experience working in greenhouse or agricultural experience

Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position that requires but is not limited to, 40 hours per week. Operational hours are dependent on the client and facility operations. This position is required to work weekends and holidays.
Working conditionsThis job operates in a commercial agriculture setting. This role routinely uses standard cultivation and harvesting equipment such as shovels, rakes, string trimmer, loop hoe, bulb planter, scissors, pruners, scales, bucking machines, trimming machines, conveyors, fans, and de-humidifiers.
Physical Demands- Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day and rotating shifts, including weekends
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds
- Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel for extended periods and repetitively throughout a workday
- Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours
Environmental DemandsExposure to pollen, allergens, and non-carcinogenic pesticides, dust, odors, extreme temperatures, artificial light, sun exposure, low humidity, loud machines, vibrations, and water.
