Greenvolt Power is looking for a dynamic Supply Chain Manager to drive efficiency and excellence in our procurement and contract management processes. As a key member of our team dedicated to the development and construction of utility-scale solar and wind projects, you will play a pivotal role in managing services and activities within the procurement/contracts department. Your responsibilities will include assuming management responsibility for procurement activities, ensuring technical and financial alignment, and achieving significant savings within contracts.


Key accountabilities


  • Assumes management responsibility for assigned services and activities of the procurement/contracts department including highly technical purchasing services and contracts.
  • Apply engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships to the scope of work during cost control activities.
  • Conduct thorough research to identify relevant grant opportunities, incentives, and funding programs applicable to renewable energy projects.
  • Develop comprehensive grant proposals, including budgets, project plans, and timelines, tailored to the requirements of each funding opportunity.
  • Writes recommendations for the award of contracts for board action and makes presentations to the Board of Directors, as needed.
  • Communicate and track milestones, project completion status, change orders, and overall timing related to cost control functions with personnel in subcontracts, accounting, and finance.
  • Experience in managing services contracts and delivering significant savings within these contracts
  • Knowledge of supply chain contract management fundamentals, best practices, and industry trends
  • Deep understanding of cost drivers on contracts and ability to demonstrate transparency and overall value
  • Previous experience in procurement and market competitive analysis is highly preferred
  • Previous experience in large tenders is preferred


Qualifications


  • Bachelor s degree, preferably in a technical and/or financial area
  • Ideally a minimum of 5 years experience in the energy sector
  • Languages: The project has an international team of employees and the working language is English. Candidates need to be fluent in English both spoken and written. Fluency in other languages will be highly valued.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (in particular Excel)
  • A self-starter who can work on their own initiative
  • Ability to work both independently and in a decentralized team environment while exhibiting excellent time management skills.
