This position allows flexible schedulling that is a hybrid of remote work and in store sales after training has been completed in Coon Rapids, MN

HOM Furniture is searching for a Web Sales Consultant who is passionate about providing great service to our customers. The Web Sales position is responsible for guiding our customers through their furniture buying experience online, via phone, chat, or virtual tours; ensuring that they will love every purchase. Our Web Sales Consultants are energetic, driven individuals who can recognize a sales opportunity. They know our product, follow up with to provide great customer service, and find meaning in their work.

Qualifications

* $16-20 an hour based on experience plus commissions with better producers earning $40-60K annually.

* High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), may be working towards it

* 1 to 3 years of related sales experience or equivalent training preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Represent all of the HOM Core Values on a consistent basis.

Consistently demonstrate professional sales skills using HOMs customer focused selling process over the phone, chats, and virtual tours. 1-3 years successful sales experience preferred.

Self starter, driven and motivated to achieve successful results.

Proficient typing ability and efficient with Windows based computer programs including Word, Excel, Google Suite, Virtual meeting software, and other various programs.

Demonstrate advanced telephone skills. Previous call center experience is a plus.

Answer incoming customer service calls and chats with the goal of providing an exceptional experience and garnering sales.

Conduct follow up calls for prospective and existing customers when new products or promotions arise that meet their needs, or to promptly resolve any issues.

With training able to proficiently use Optimum/point of sale software to write invoices, schedule deliveries, collect payment, check inventory, and other customer service computer based tasks.

Maintaining high accuracy with writing invoices, special orders and customer follow up.

Basic Accounting skills, be able to take payment over the phone and assist with balance dues, credits, and returns.

Ability to multitask in a fast paced, changing environment with a positive attitude.

Problem solving skills, professional communication skills; be able to creatively think of solutions to better serve the needs of our customer

Meet department phone standards of consistently being available for calls.

Responsible for staying informed on all new and existing product lines

Complete all assigned reporting in a timely manner.

Help support Level 1 Coordinators when needed or assigned

Complete all additional work/projects as assigned by management.

Language Skills Requires skills to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Need to be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations via phone, chat, or virtual tours; to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Demonstrate the ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written format.

Mathematical Skills Mathematical aptitude to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. It also requires skills to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.

Reasoning Ability Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Need to be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
