OOH Advertising Sales Director (Chicago)


Job Details

The role of Sales Director involves formulating and executing strategies to attain revenue objectives while providing leadership and guidance to the sales team (4 to 6 direct reports to start, the sales team has 16 people total). This role emphasizes coaching, day-to-day team management, and the implementation of effective sales approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies to meet or exceed sales quotas and profitability targets for the sales team.
  • Collaborate in establishing revenue goals and tactics for the sales team, actively managing their performance to achieve or surpass objectives.
  • Supervise client delivery logistics to ensure an outstanding customer experience.
  • Attain or surpass the team revenue quota.
  • Deliver accurate and detailed weekly sales forecasts to leadership.
  • Effectively manage deal profitability.
  • Consistently oversee individual sales team performance to meet or exceed quota.
  • Utilize financial and market data for trend identification, threat assessment, and recognizing opportunities.
  • Leverage data resources to evaluate the business, identify potential prospects, and execute the annual revenue plan.
  • Creatively use research data for prospective client outreach.
  • Track sales performance metrics of the team using CRM, financial reporting software, and data to enhance revenue performance.
  • Demonstrate and sustain a comprehensive understanding of advertising and media markets, trends, and technological advancements.
  • Exhibit a profound understanding of our products and services, coupled with a working knowledge of the out of home media landscape.

Requirements:

  • Travel: 25% - 50% of the time which includes travel to the company's corporate office in Minneapolis.
  • 7- 10 years of direct sales experience in the Out of Home advertising industry.
  • 5+ years of proven history of success in sales team management. Strong leadership skills are a must have!

Additional Info:

  • Target Salary Range: $140-170K base salary OTE with bonus up to $220K (Willing to flex salary range based on OOH advertising sales management experience!)
  • Location: REMOTE - Looking to hire someone based in Chicago
