Reporting to the Head of IT, the Desktop Support Admin will be responsible for user support, maintenance and upgrades, networking support, and other duties. This is a temporary position that we anticipate lasting through the end of 2024.

Essential Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide direct support to users with hardware and software issues, including troubleshooting problems and offering immediate solutions or workarounds.
  • Regularly perform system maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal performance of desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
  • Install, update, and manage software applications, ensuring all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with minimal disruption.
  • Implement and manage security solutions, including antivirus software and firewalls, to protect data and systems from threats.
  • Maintain an inventory of all IT assets, including hardware and software, and manage software licensing.
  • Keep detailed records of user issues, solutions, and relevant configurations or settings.
  • Train end-users on new technologies and software applications, promoting IT policies and best practices.
  • Assist with network-related tasks, such as connecting devices to the local network and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • Work closely with Head of IT on various projects, including system deployments, migrations, and end-user support strategies.
  • Ability to work in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel at times.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks, including troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively assist users and document processes.
  • Proactive, dynamic, and results-driven self-starter with strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across all departments in the organization, demonstrating a highly responsive and service-oriented attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

We provide competitive total compensation packages, including base pay and benefits. The estimated base hourly pay range for this position is $35-50/hour. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
