*Client Details*
Our client, a general contractor in Connecticut, is seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to join their team in New Haven. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in either residential or commercial construction and will be responsible for overseeing and managing all phases of our construction projects from inception to completion.
*Description*
* *Project Planning:* Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation.
* *Team Coordination:* Lead and manage project teams, ensuring effective collaboration among architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
* *Budget Management:* Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial objectives are met.
* *Scheduling:* Create and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all project milestones.
* *Quality Assurance:* Ensure all work is performed in accordance with industry standards, building codes, and client specifications.
* *Risk Management:* Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
* *Client Relations:* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or requests.
* *Documentation:* Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
* *Compliance:* Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant health and safety regulations and company policies.
*Profile*
* *Experience:* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating expertise in managing construction projects from start to finish.
* *Education:* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
* *Certifications:* PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus. OSHA 30-Hour certification is highly desirable.
* *Technical Skills:* Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Buildertrend, or equivalent. Competence with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
* *Financial Acumen:* Strong understanding of project budgeting, financial management, and cost control.
* *Communication Skills:* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
* *Organizational Skills:* Superior organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
* *Physical Requirements:* Ability to work on-site, which may include exposure to varying weather conditions, and the physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
