Role Overview: As an Air and Ocean Logistics Specialist at xpd global, you will play a crucial role in our mission to revolutionize international freight forwarding. You'll be responsible for managing the operational flow of air and ocean shipments, ensuring seamless execution from start to finish. From liaising with commercial teams and clients to selecting and negotiating with suppliers, your expertise will drive efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end operational flow of air and ocean shipments, ensuring client satisfaction at every step.
- Collaborate closely with commercial teams and clients to understand their needs and provide tailored logistics solutions.
- Lead the selection, evaluation, and negotiation of suppliers, driving cost-effectiveness and quality assurance.
- Manage invoicing processes with precision and adherence to data quality standards and SOPs.
- Keep general and customer-specific technology tools up to date, leveraging the latest innovations to streamline operations.
- Safeguard operation documents according to SOPs and internal processes, maintaining impeccable records for compliance.
- Stay informed and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements for air and ocean shipments, prioritizing safety and compliance.
Requirements:
- 4-6 years of hands-on experience in air and ocean logistics, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry best practices.
- Proficiency in Excel, Salesforce, and other relevant software tools.
- Familiarity with online platforms such as WebCargo, CargoWise, and 7L, as well as online portals for steam shiplines (Maersk, CMA, MSC).
