Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sourcing Manager to join our dynamic team. The Sourcing Manager will play a crucial role in our supply chain operations, responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials and components essential to our product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Identification and Evaluation:
- Identify potential suppliers through market research, networking, and industry contacts.
- Evaluate suppliers based on criteria such as quality, reliability, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Negotiation and Contract Management:
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to optimize pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
- Develop and maintain supplier contracts, agreements, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or deviations from contractual obligations.
Supply Chain Optimization:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and logistics, to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
- Identify opportunities for supply chain optimization, including cost reduction initiatives, alternative sourcing options, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sourcing processes and efficiency.
Risk Management:
- Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, such as raw material shortages, price fluctuations, geopolitical instability, and regulatory changes.
- Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to ensure business continuity in the face of disruptions.
- Compliance and Sustainability:
- Ensure supplier compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry certifications (e.g., ISO, REACH, EPA).
- Drive sustainability initiatives within the supply chain, including the adoption of eco-friendly materials, ethical sourcing practices, and carbon footprint reduction efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the agrichemical or agricultural industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
- Proficiency in supplier evaluation, risk management, and supply chain optimization.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and sustainability standards relevant to the agrichemical industry.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
