Field Property Adjuster
- Manage commercial and residential claims for multiple insurance companies
- Review all applicable policies to determine coverage applications and how they apply to each individual client
- Perform onsite inspections of property and complete thorough estimates
- Communicate with insurance company clients and their policyholders regarding coverage, accurately estimate damages and effectively negotiate claims
- Maintain effective communication with all insurance company clients and their policyholders throughout the claims process both verbally and in writing
- Collect facts, investigate loss, and approve or deny payment in line with policy coverages and company guidelines
- Complete thorough investigative and narrative reports
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience adjusting property claims in the field is required
- Working knowledge of insurance policies, endorsements, claims handling procedures, and basic building construction principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional customer service and time management skills
- Ability to independently manage workload while exhibiting good judgement
- Strong analytical and computer skills with the ability to work with multi-faceted systems. Experience with Xactimate preferred.
- Must be able to climb ladders, balance at various heights, stoop, bend and/or crawl to inspect structures
This position is work from home office; work assignments will be assigned based on need but may require travel as much as 2-3 hours from home location. Candidates must possess flexibility and independence to work outside the confines of a desk job.
