Job Summary:
Visiting Angels, a leading home care agency in Wheeling, West Virginia, is seeking a Part-Time Personal Care Aide to join our team. As a Personal Care Aide, you will provide compassionate and personalized care to our clients in their homes. This individual role involves assisting with activities of daily living, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and companionship. Compensation & Benefits:
The Personal Care Aide position at Visiting Angels offers a competitive salary of $11 to $13 per hour, paid biweekly, along with weekend shift differential. Responsibilities:
Assist clients with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Provide medication reminders and assist with medication management
Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and household organization
Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients
Maintain accurate and detailed records of client care and behavior
Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and members of the care team
Adhere to all company policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of clients
Promote a positive and respectful work environment at all times
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous experience as a personal care aide or caregiver preferred
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Compassionate, patient, and reliable
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt to changing schedules and client needs
Must have driver's license, proof of car insurance and be willing to travel to client's homes within Wheeling, West Virginia and surrounding areas
