Seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to join our engineering department. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and programming electrical control systems for industrial machinery. The ideal candidate will have several years of related experience and will possess appropriate relevant education, ideally in Electrical Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze design requirements, generate schematic diagrams and create bills of material
- Develop PLC and HMI application software
- Verify and validate designs through simulations and testing
- Commission and trouble-shoot equipment at customer facilities as required
Requirements:
- BSEE or BSEET degree
- 4 to 6 years of related controls engineering experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating electrical designs (wiring diagrams, schematics, etc.)
- Experience with PLCs, AC/DC drives, HMI, communications (Ethernet, Controlnet) - programming, troubleshooting, debug, etc.
- Additional consideration for applicants with NEC, UL, CE and CSA code experience, Wonderware, web-handling, or PID temperature controls experience
