Environmental/Maintenance Engineer will execute all duties associated with maintaining compliance with all local, state, and federal guidelines for operation of the Facility. This incumbent will also be responsible for overall mechanical operation of all utilities of the facility including wastewater treatment, ammonia refrigeration, Engine Room, and infrastructure. The incumbent will assist in the planning for and overseeing of the maintenance technicians.
Maintain Plant Compliance for all Local, State, Federal Regulations for Wastewater, Ammonia Safety, and Infrastructure.
Ensure the refrigeration team has the proper training and certifications required.
Conducts Self Audits and Inspection Requests from Regulatory Bodies.
Maintains up to date Reports and Programs for PSM, RMP, PHA, SWPPP, SPCC, and PCR
Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation
Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality
Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities by maintenance technicians
Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance
Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities
Any and all other duties as assigned by the Plant Engineering Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
Engineering degree required in Mechanical, Environmental strongly preferred.
Two to 5 years experience in a manufacturing plant required - USDA regulated facility strongly preferred.
