JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position performs in a safe and efficient manner master mechanic level maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and/or installation/replacement of major and minor component parts of all motorized (diesel and gasoline) vehicles and equipment assigned to the Division of Public Works to insure the equipment under his or her care is maintained in a high state of readiness and is safe to operate. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 6:45 am to 2:45 pm, is part of the AFSCME Collective Bargaining Unit, and provides an excellent work life balance. The position is grade 5, with a starting hourly rate not to exceed $33.13.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3 years work related experience
- High School diploma plus 1 year schooling in Automotive/Equipment repair; experience in lieu of education will be considered
- Must be certified to accomplish State of NH Vehicle Safety Inspections
- ASE certification a plus
- Must provide own hand tools
