Pay rate: $38.63/hr.

Sign-on bonus of $2,500

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday 6 am to 4 pm.(availability to work on weekends when required)

The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing diagnostics and repairs on the mechanical systems of the plant's machines and equipment, including but not limited to hydraulic, steam, and chemical piping systems. In addition, be required to inspect equipment and diagnose malfunctions through preventive maintenance plans, analyze equipment failures, and assist in determining root causes.

Core Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Develop plant maintenance programs to ensure continuous achievement of Safety, Production and quality goals.
  • Supervise, control, and audit the Mechanical Stores including critical spares
  • Oversee completion of preventative and predictive maintenance programs
  • Actively seek and implement practices, lowering working capital dollars while ensuring adequate availability of parts to meet the operational need of the plant.
  • Give feedback on ideas for improving or streamlining tasks. Help develop solutions to assist with efficiency, safer workplace, higher quality ratings, etc. in a positive manner with customers and team members.
  • Incorporate standard work practices into the maintenance department
  • Work closely with Operations in developing and implementing Plover's strategies that ensures the success of the plant.
  • Maintain yearly maintenance budget and responsibility to ensure costs are controlled
  • Track contractor hours and evaluate spend
  • Maintain relationship with 3rd party process control resource and ensure plant systems are up to date and running efficiently
  • Ensure effective coordination and communication with all departments regarding maintenance work.
  • Assess performance and progress of members of the maintenance team and develop and execute plans to improve skills.
  • Ensure maintenance is performed in accordance with best practices including proper documentation
  • Responsibility for maintaining plant grounds
  • Represent Ingredion Plover operations to 3rd party agencies and customer auditors.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline operations to increase output, reduce waste, and lower costs.
  • Develop, initiate, and execute maintenance capital projects
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and inspections (pressure vessel, fire, arc flash, etc.)
  • Work within plant leadership team to develop strategy for continuous improvement on safety culture and becoming an injury free workplace.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment, build consensus, and foster relationships at multiple organization levels and across different organizational functions.
