This pivotal role involves daily coordination across all engineering disciplines and operations for construction projects ranging from $500,000 to $25,000,000+. We tackle diverse infrastructure projects including Saltwater disposals, pipelines, treatment facilities, pump stations, and more. The essential job functions include, but are not limited to

  • SAFETY: Responsible, professional, and accountable for conducting job tasks in a safe and healthy manner which includes performing in accordance with Health Safety Security & Environmental (HSSE) philosophy, standards, programs, rules and permits.
    • Work responsibly and take any necessary precautions to protect self and others from injury and health hazards.
  • Supporting the Director of Projects: Collaborate with the Director and associated team to develop and implement engineered solutions that meet the needs of our clients and uphold our company's standards of excellence.
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as the Engineering lead bridge between our company, customers, and vendors, while providing expert knowledge and guidance throughout all stages of projects.
  • Project Coordination: Lead the engineering project design and execution, working closely with interdepartmental teams and external engineering firms to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Operational Support: Review engineering and operational tasks, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Technology Utilization: Learn and utilize Select's existing technology solutions to enhance project outcomes and streamline operations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside technicians, vendors, internal operations, and general contractors to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that quality remains a top priority for all team members, maintaining high standards throughout every project.
  • Procedure Development: Develop procedures, standards, and guidelines to support procurement, construction, and operation teams, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
  • SCADA Familiarity: Utilize your knowledge of SCADA platforms to enhance project monitoring and control systems.
  • Procurement Support: Assist procurement efforts by providing technical expertise for material and equipment specifications, contributing to cost reduction and efficiency initiatives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the Projects team and the company.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
  • Required - 10+ years of engineering experience.
  • Required - Bachelors, preference towards Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering
  • Required - PE Certification.
  • Preferred - successful execution of multiple concurrent projects in excess >$10mm USD each.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient and proactive verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite - Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Experience of using 3D CAD programs, P&ID software, Hydraulic modeling.
  • Strong process development skills. Able to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with limited supervision with strong initiative and finishing skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to achieve deadlines in a changing environment.
  • Hands on attitude able get things to a successful conclusion.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
