Job Details
Currently, StaffBright has an exciting Corporate Accountant opportunity with one of our clients located in Southfield, MI. Ideal candidates will have at least 1+ years of accounting experience with a manufacturing company.
What You Will Be Doing
- Supports the month-end closing process, ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Responsible for posting journal entries and performing sub-ledger reconciliations.
- Maintains customer files, resolves A/R issues, prepares aging reports, and conducts billing and collection calls.
- Assists in maintaining and adhering to internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Manages multi-state Sales and Use Tax reporting and filing.
- Ensures compliance with GAAP.
- Responds to information requests from vendors, customers, and other stakeholders.
What We Need From You
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
- 1+ year of accounting experience for a manufacturing company
- Experience with general ledger, month-end close, recording monthly transactions, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries,
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Experience with an ERP/Accounting Software
