**Tasting Room Attendant (Spring 2022)**
**Job Title: Tasting Room Attendant Location: Bradford, OH Position Type: Part time, Seasonal (10-20 hours per week) Reports to: Tasting Room Manager / Owner**
**Position Overview**
The Tasting Room Attendant is a brand ambassador who promotes the sale of Twenty One Barrels products (hard cider & wine), cider/wine clubs and non-craft beverage products sold in the Tasting Room, while educating customers on the history, the production process, and the varietals. This position is also responsible for building relationships with customers and takes the initiative to provide excellent customer service and exceptional hospitality.

This not your standard serving or bartending position. This position creates a memorable engaging experience that will elevate and create brand loyalty. We are looking for someone to grow with us and eventually hold a full-time position within the organization
**Essential Job Duties**
* Provides customer service that exceeds expectations both in person and through phone conversation
* Greets guests upon entry and pours products in accordance with procedure
* Interact with customers and staff in a professional manner
* Assists customers in product selections and describes products, history and provides general information
* Handles routine POS transactions using Square system which includes operating the cash register, processing returns, discounts, etc.
* Meets established sales goals for products and club memberships
* Stays current on product knowledge
* Participate in all retail/tasting room business functions, including serving, busing, food/wine prep, greeting/hostess, register, bar, etc.
* Follow product inventory procedures and maintain adequate physical inventory of products and merchandise by restocking on a timely basis.
* Assist in developing relations with other wineries/breweries and hospitality industry businesses to build a visitor base.
* Assist in maintaining daily sales records; accurately reconcile cash receipts daily and post transactions; track samples, damaged, and other non-sales transactions.
* Assist in retail merchandising, including stocking and organizing.
* Assists with set up and break down for Tasting Room events
* Understand and perform opening and closing procedures
* Ensure a clean, well-organized, and functional environment in the tasting bar area and performs facility housekeeping as necessary (i.e., the tasting bar, outdoor patio and surrounding areas, and restrooms).
* Participate in organization and cleaning of the facility; both indoors and out
* Adhere to all operating policies, state and federal regulations, and CDC guidelines
* Assist in production (i.e. bottling) as needed
* Other duties may be assigned
**Experience/Skills/Working Conditions**
* Must be at least 21 years of age, and able to work around alcohol in a responsible manner.
* The position will require approximately 10-20 hours per week including evenings and Saturday
* High School diploma or Equivalent required
* Preferably have knowledge/experience with Square POS systems
* Craft beverage industry knowledge, appreciation, and passion a plus
* Genuine enthusiasm for craft beverages sector and our consumers
* Proficient in handling cash, making change, and basic math.
* Very strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Friendly, positive, and professional disposition when dealing with a diverse array of guests, vendors, and team members.
* Highly organized and energetic with strong attention to detail.
* Demonstrated ability to multi-task, follow-up, and work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
* Maintain knowledge of our product portfolio
* Maintain a professional image by following the dress code
* Follow and uphold all policies as directed by management
* Pro-active and thorough in completing existing tasks and pursuing new assignments.
* Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
* Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and adherence to all safety regulations and operating procedures.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule including extended hours, most weekends and holidays
* Must be able to work safely and be safety conscious, follow and enforce all written & verbal SOPs (Standard Operational Procedures) as well as enforce and adhere to safe practices.
* Must be able to follow all food safety guidelines and winery SOPs
* Recognize the symptoms of intoxication and handle the situation as required by Ohio law and house policy.
* Must hold a valid driver's license. Occasional work-related travel may be a possibility.
* Must be able to frequently lift and carry weights of up to 50 pounds at varying frequencies.
* Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in the performance of various tasks.
* Ability to operate various types of hardware to include, but not limited to, lift trucks, hand trucks, dishwashers etc.
* Ability to stand for long periods of time.
* Successful completion of background check and pre-hire drug testing.
