Overview

Bowhead seeks a Senior Logistician to join our team supporting the Program Office for Logistics Integrated Information Systems - Marine Corps (LI2S-MC) in Stafford, VA. The Senior Logistician will work directly with the client analyzing complex and unique technical support assignments and lead or collaborate with engineers, cybersecurity personnel, logisticians, and program analysts within a scaled agile environment.

The Senior Logistician will: Coordinate the movement of goods, materials, and information through the supply chain to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction. Oversee inventory levels, optimize stock levels, and minimize holding costs while meeting demand requirements. Manage the distribution and transportation of goods, selecting optimal shipping methods and carriers to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

* Develop or perform logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating logistical actions required to support the mission. Manage areas of the logistics program such as the operations and activities related to equipment/asset management, training, supply, storage, deployment, transportation of materiel and materiel readiness. Support the logistics management of the entire life cycle of a product, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal of resources. Functioning in the capacity of an Equipment Specialist, enter, review and update provisioning data into USMC data systems and other portfolio of systems. Conduct provisioning screening actions and update applicable provisioning documentation. Develop requisitions for and manages records of equipment, components, and related manuals; reviews configuration changes to evaluate impact on logistics deployment; and identifies logistic support documentation to be included such as drawings and technical manuals. Excellent oral and written skills. Excellent critical thinking skills. Specialized logistics experience with a USMC acquisition program or related/comparable Logistics experience with Department of Defense (DoD) agencies. Support the Government in the analysis and coordination of ongoing logistical functions throughout the entire life cycle of the project or product, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal of resources. Develop and update logistics documents such as Fielding Plans, Supply Instructions, Stock List - 3 and other logistics plans. Maintain the Logistics Integrated Master Schedule. Prepare and deliver agendas and presentation materials, draft meeting minutes, and capture action items for meetings/events. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university; MA/MS degree preferred. At least ten (10) years of professional experience including at least six (6) years of specialized experience on high visible or mission critical projects within DoD. Experience with Navy or Marine Corps programs preferred. Proven ability to work on high visible or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently. Ability to manage the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific task. Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, Government personnel, and other stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills, good judgment, and the ability to lead a team or perform independently.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate must favorably pass a Public Trust background investigation. Candidates with an In-Scope DoD security clearance are highly encouraged to apply. US Citizenship is required.
