Position Summary

Fleet coordinators are responsible for managing and coordinating the vehicle department. These individuals ensure that trucks and trailers are in proper working order.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible to track, control, and schedule all maintenance for all fleet vehicles.

  • Monitor location of vehicles using GPS platform, creating reports on location, idle time, and speeding alerts.

  • Facilitate communication between management/Driver Managers.

  • Professional image and excellent communication skills while maintaining positive, professional, and helpful interactions with external customers.

  • Update appropriate fleet management company records with new driver information.

  • Communicate and coordinate maintenance needs with Operations Manager, Team members and external customers.

  • Update DOT Fleet Program for maintaining files on all fleet vehicles.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Mechanical knowledge of semi-trucks/trailers.

  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office and other programs).

  • Time management.

  • Ability to multitask.

  • Experience with scheduling

  • Ability to manage phone calls Work Environment.
