Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Nacogdoches, TX. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for repairing and maintaining all types of heavy equipment used for construction projects. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will ensure all equipment is operating efficiently, troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed, perform preventative maintenance on equipment, diagnose equipment issues, and perform necessary repairs on all types of heavy equipment.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
- Proficiency in the diagnosis and repair of heavy equipment including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, motor graders, backhoes, and skid-steer loaders
- Experience with Caterpillar, Komatsu, and John Deere equipment preferred
- Basic welding and fabrication skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and hydraulic diagrams
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or degree program preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
